The Story
With always wanting to have my own food truck, I have pondered for many years. “What is NOT a fry truck and how can I make people’s experience amazing?” So as my three kids and I sat at the kitchen table eating Philly cheesesteaks one night, Erika (aka Bartley Clowdy) said, “You should sell these on a truck.” It was at that moment when I realized, “What is this single dad of three doing wasting more time?” As I sat eating that meal, I watched Taylor and Marcus enjoying their sandwiches too and said, “Yeah this is it; I want a Philly cheesteak truck.”
I started the process by visiting the SLBDC, where they were happy to sit and guide me through a very long but rewarding process. Chris from the SLBDC spent time helping me put together a very detailed business plan, which allowed me to know my business before I even opened the doors. On August 3, 2013, after approximately one full year, we opened at 988 Confederation Street.
We have done catering jobs for the likes of Hockey Canada, Canada Post, Mooretown Minor Hockey coaches and Imperial Oil. We have also done local charity events.
